It was engraved in 1860 by the owners at the time, the priests Saverio and Aloysio Lorusso. Their act was a political one: the clergymen supported the Bourbons, who had by then been defeated by the House of Savoy, and for this reason they chose to retreat from the city.
But today, in that phrase, we find the very reasons why so many choose Casina dei Preti for their holidays: the slow pace, the courtesy of the staff, and the tranquility of the surrounding countryside offer a chance to recharge, far from the impatience of city life.
